Avec son premier appareil photo, Rolf a pris des images en noir et blanc d'animaux au zoo de Bâle, puis des paysages et voyages. Il a continué tout au long de sa vie. Puis, lorsqu'il a pris sa retraite de son cabinet médical en 2017, après 20 ans de pratique en tant que médecin généraliste, sa passion a pris le dessus, et durant les trois années suivantes, avec son nouvel appareil Canon digital, il a pris des milliers de photographies de son environnement proche. Ce site avait été conçu aux vues de propositions d'exposition qu'il avait reçues.

Suite à son décès, ses enfants ont retrouvé également toutes ses photographies argentiques bien conservées, méticuleusement, avec le même soin qu’il traitait les analyses hématologiques, sa formation initiale, puis ensuite qu'il a pu utiliser pour soigner ses patients.

With his first camera, Rolf took black-and-white images of animals at Basel Zoo, then landscapes and travels. He continued throughout his life. Then, when he retired from his medical practice in 2017, after 20 years of practice as a general practitioner, his passion took over, and for the next three years with his new digital camera, he took thousands of photographs of his immediate environment. This website was done for proposition of exhibits that he received. Following his death, his children found well-preserved film photographs, meticulously, with the same care that he treated first, the haematological analyses, his initial training, then he could use it later to heal  his patients.
